The Betfred Sprint Cup is due off on Saturday and one that we select to run well is Lady of the Desert.
She won a Group 3 race at Ascot last July as a 3 year old and also won the Lowther Stakes at York by three lengths. If she is back in that form then she must have every chance. (more…)

Just eight weeks after the World Cup was decided, qualification for the next international tournament begins this weekend as all the home nations start their Euro 2012 campaign.

England’s World Cup woes will be quickly forgotten if the new-look side can get a comfortable win against Bulgaria at Wembley. With no John Terry and Frank Lampard it promises to be an experimental England side, and the talented Bulgarians - even without the in-form Dimitar Berbatov - should not be underestimated. Anything other than a win will make Fabio Capello’s life very, very difficult indeed.

Horse Racing Tips for Goodwood on Saturday

Another weekend and another result. Side Glance who won the Totescoop6 Handicap at Chester on Saturday, he opened up at odds of 6/1 and was well backed into 9/2 2nd favourite.
This weekend I am looking at another couple of bets for the main races on Saturday.

Weekend Horse Racing Preview

We had a couple of non runners last weekend and Fame and Glory won as an odds on favourite should.

On Friday afternoon over at Newbury it’s interesting to see Richard Hughes booked for the ride again on Flouncing who was 2nd over this trip at Epsom last time out and won at Thirsk the time before that.
